LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care
LAIMH is a queer-owned business, and all of our clinicians are LGBTQIA+ affirming, with many of our clinicians being members of the community. We are trained in LGBTQIA+-affirming care and understand (whether through training or lived experiences) the unique stressors and traumas that this community is exposed to. We are also aware of how non-affirming political climates can create a lack of safety and insecurity related to living proudly and authentically.
We will work alongside you to help you manage the unique stressors that you are facing, develop pride and contentment with who you are, develop a sense of safety in the world, and process traumatic experiences (e.g. coming out in a non-affirming environment). We believe deeply that people deserve to live and love authentically and feel pride in their identity.
